A postcard is a snapshot of a place that captures a mere aspect of it, such as some part of its history, heritage, architecture, culture, or natural beauty, with no claim to being comprehensive. It invokes wonder and leaves us with a desire to learn more. Whenever I go to a new place, I try to send postcards to family and friends (sadly, they are increasingly hard to find), and I often receive postcards from family and friends, and through Postcrossing. I am collecting pictures of these postcards here, so that you can enjoy them with me, if you like. My collection includes postcards from all regions of the world — Europe and Central Asia, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, East Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America — and is continuously growing.
