Advocacy & Outreach

For well over a decade, I have been using my academic training and my practical experience in education, international development, and human and animal rights to engage with people on a wide range of issues of public importance.

I believe that philosophy is very useful in thinking more clearly and critically about these issues, which is why I am a passionate advocate for a broader presence of philosophy in public life.

I have been interviewed in newspapers, and on radio and TV, and my articles have been published in newspapers in twenty countries on five continents:

  • Frankfurter Rundschau (Germany)
  • Des Moines Register (USA)
  • Asia Times (Hong Kong)
  • Scroll.in (India)
  • The Nation (Pakistan)
  • Dhaka Tribune (Bangladesh)
  • The Citizen (Tanzania)
  • Nigerian Tribune (Nigeria)
  • Sunday Times, The Star, and Mail & Guardian (South Africa)
  • …and many others

I have covered a variety of subjects in my writing. By clicking on the images below, you can access a selection of media clippings:

I enjoy interacting and connecting with people and have spoken to diverse audiences across the globe, on topics such as human dignity and rights, constitutional law, public policy, international development, animal rights, and various topics in philosophy.

I am always looking for opportunities to engage and collaborate in meaningful ways with like-minded individuals and organizations. Please feel free to reach out with any ideas.
